“I would like to briefly talk about the training I received for about three years. Before starting the studies, I was a little worried at first, could I do it, would I have difficulties in practice, could children adapt to an unusual working method, but after the second training I realized that my worries were unfounded and how excited I was about the work. We discovered that mathematics is a thinking skill and that it is not only done with paper and pencil, on the contrary, as a part of daily life, many things can be used as mathematical materials. We used the error control feature to make the children realize their mistakes while working with me, but we made them learn on their own. In fact, as soon as they learn that they will be doing maths work, they ask for priority by lining up for me to do it with them first, and this makes me very happy. We have integrated the training we have received into our school life so much that the work we will do can sometimes emerge as improvisation.”
